Crimes are increasing with each passing day and no one can predict when a threat may arise against them.

These threats can be avoided- and to avoid these threats, presence of mind is a must.

We recommend 10 safety tips that will benefit them to be prepared for any threatening situation:

1) Be aware of your surroundings:

a) Always be vigilant whenever you’re out.

b) Avoid going to deserted areas alone and if necessary try to be accompanied by someone known.

c) If things seem even a slight unsafe get out of that place immediately.

2) Listen and follow your ‘instinct’:

a) Your instinct is your personal threat alarm try to recognize it.

b) No matter how small the instinct is but, if it alarms you that something is fishy then, go with it and act immediately.

3) Oppose Eve teasing:

a) Respond to the eve teaser with a stern voice.

b) Take his picture.

c) If the eve teasing still persists then, immediately raise your voice to gather a crowd.

4) While traveling alone at night:

a) Avoid taking road side autos or cabs, instead travel by private cabs.

b) If a private cab is not available then, be sure to travel only ina crowded bus or train.

5) While driving a car:

a) Avoid parking in an isolated area

b) Look inside the car, especially the back seat before unlocking & entering.

c) Lock the doors immediately after entering the car.

d) Don’t stop your car &give a lift to any stranger.

e) Take known routes and avoid shortcuts which you aren’t aware of.

6) Make your phone a Savior:

a) Activate your speed dials which can help you in an emergency.

b)Install emergency apps which can send SMS to known people in case of emergency.

7) When you feel you’re followed by someone:

a) Immediately rush to a crowded place.

b) If required don’t be embarrassed to shout & gain attention.

a) Don’t hesitate to share such incidences with your family & friends

8) Attack if needed:

a) Use keys, bottle and even your purse to inflict damage to your attacker.

b) Use your knees to hit hard between his legs.

c) Use your fingers to poke hard in his eyes.

d) Hit hard on the Adams Apple it will leave him in a shock.

e) Hit hard in the chest or stomach.

9) Always carry safety products:

a) Always carry safety products like pepper spray, stun gun, foldable stick, pen knife, etc. with you in your purse.

b) Learn the techniques to use them effectively.

10) Acquaint your near & dear ones about your plans or trips:

a) Always inform your family and close friends about your plans and trips.

b) Update them about your location while on a trip. Your safety and the safety of your loved ones should never be left to chance. Be prepared, be aware and be safe...
